It's OK for the money, the issue is that on a 29er the XCM fork isn't really up to the job of 'proper' mountain biking, it's fine for gravel tracks but not much more.
The Voodoo Bizango is circa £650 but that is a fully capable bike by comparison.
Or for £50 more the Carrera Kraken gets a better fork and most other bits as well.
