Maximum cassette size with tiagra 4700 rear mech

I'd pretty much decided what I was going to upgrade to but have just hit upon a potential problem.

I wanted to go with an 11-34 cassette and a 34/50 crank.

However the rear derailleur only comes in short or medium/long. From what I can tell from the manual the medium/long (GS) can't go up to a 34T.

Just to confuse things further I was watching a 4700 groupset on eBay which was the exact setup I wanted. It said it came with a long 4700 rear derailleur which it said worked with the 34T.

Can anyone offer any further guidance on this?

    I haven't got 4700, but I could have sworn the GS mech supports 11-34, just like the 7000 in my spares box ready to fit with an 11-34.

    Plenty of claims a 5800 GS mech would have done the trick that is on there already, with a b-screw adjustment.

    Brilliant, thanks. I just found a video that said officially they support 32T but people have found that even a 36T with will work.
