Hounds, then run (wife grumpy as she thinks I ran with them for too long yesterday), then work stuff. May try and fit a quick fun bike ride in then cider time

Generally soggy here too, with the odd blast of sunshine.
Woke up in a good mood for a change, but then got kicked out of the shower because someone needed a sh1t.

Bit of WFH, preceded by breakfast. All that will be followed by mid-morning second coffee.

Rest day today. Feeling slightly more zen than earlier in the week.

Blowy here. Was hoping it would just bloody rain and nit muck around so that I could not cut the grass but looks like that's not going to happen.

@tlw1 : I have to guarantee some form of exercise with toots to then get the Brownie token so that I can ride my bike.

Busy busy here, 0% chance of a bike ride today but the possibility of one on Sunday if the heavens don't open again.

On furlough again for three weeks from next week. My winter bike frameset needs a really good polish/shine.

Any recommendations of products? It's gloss black.

    Proper glossy?
My CAAD12 is a shiny black with sparkly flecks in it (but not quite metallic).
Once it's clean either a wipe with GT85 makes it sparkle, or if I'm in the mood some of this:

It should be proper glossy, yeh, not metallic. It's currently... dull. GT85 is worth a go!

Just finished the morning round of 'Teams' calls. Tired, as got bitten by barstward insects on the legs yesterday evening and it was itching like **** last night.

The only thing of note today is that it's senior hound's 5th birthday today so he gets an extra big bone to chew on.

    Afternoon folks,
Another day of wfh, not very nice out today. Had a lemon drizzle cake delivered by a neighbour as payment for fixing her bike a while back. The lad made me a chicken sandwich for lunch so I'm feeling rather lethargic at the moment. Must make myself go out for a walk this afternoon.
Had an ineresting call with mate that's sorted the house in Italy for us. Still looks like we won't be able to go as we can't get to Italy by car and I don't want to get into a plane with the great unwashed. If anything changes we can go at short notice at least. Might check the car over just in case.
I could carry on looking at pricing or have a snooze, I know what I should do and what I'd like to do is not the same. Coffee is the answer, but should I have more cake with it?

GT85 will give it a bit of a shine, but only if it's decent to start with. If it's scuffed or scratch Pinno's T cut and wax might be a better idea.

It's the weekend...and also for the first time, I'm looking forward to a dentists appointment next week. Hopefully won't have to look like a Liverpool fan for much longer :)

    By Liverpool standards, sure.

You're welcome. I do the odd car paint detailing. GT85 and WD40 is the showroom trick tool for covering up scratches.
Wait until the customer is virtually in the door and a quick scoosh of the above on deeper scratches. It's very good at covering up swirls too but has a short life.
If you want, I can send you a dollop of Bilt Hamber 'Cleanser polish'. It's pricey stuff but a couple of thimble fulls would do your whole bike. It's a 'web' filler and minor scratch cover.
You use it once on a perfectly clean surface and you can colour wax on top to your hearts content. It would also 'seal' the surface and would keep it cleaner for longer and easier to clean/keep clean.

    Personally; this:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonax-Polish-Wax-Carnauba-500ml-Black-Colour-Scratch-Remover-Restore-Gloss-Shine/302516846795?epid=648907636&hash=item466f68c0cb:g:wp0AAOSwcORenrCz

That on a bike only would last eons.
