Was black as the ace of spades here this morning, and not because it was before dawn. Decided to stay in and do some indoor excercise instead.
Forecast is nice later so will either do some Zwift in the garden or might even venture out of the house.

Pleasant morning spent fettling and cleaning six cargobikes ready for another busy week ahead.
Going to spend the afternoon umming and ahhing over whether to sell the Jaguar I-Pace as Jaguar are in big financial trouble according to the broadsheets and I'm worried that my investment might lose even more money.
Might have to bite the bullet and get a Tesla instead, or do without a vehicle altogether.0 -
Dog walked in surprisingly pleasant sunshine on the beach. Shopping hell for a couple hours, then risked a ride under gloomy skies when we got home. Ended up quite a long one (for me these days at least).

This was a bit of both, they had the blokes with the power washers and sponges first, then you went through the machine. Noon all. Took 12yr daughter on a bike ride into the countryside and back. In 4 weeks she's gone From never ridden on the road to now managing 30km. Just bought her a spec. dolce off gumtree which helps after a few new parts.
Still ducking the DIY jobs, which I assert are too disruptive while the kids are at home. Turn water and electric off to fit the skirting boards, that sort of stuff...0 -
I've lived for the last 2 decades without a car, I absolutely detest them, but my accountant advised me to go electric as the benefit in kind tax rates were so good over this and the next two years. However, I've owned a plethora of motorbikes in that time. Now they are fun, but who wants to sit in a car in the UK going nowhere half the time.Stevo_666 said:

I have no idea how people consider a hugely depreciating metal box a good investment. All they seem to do is cost you money and make you lazy.

Sensible approach. I only bought new on 3 occasions and we tend to hang onto them for long enough to even out any depreciation a bit. As the poor bugger who has to shuttle her around to work most days, 40-50 mile round trip, it's really starting to p**s me off.

Daddy has a 6 bay garage for his collection of cars.
Couple of Aston Martins, a Maserati Grantourismo, an original Land Rover and a couple of top end Mercs too, not forgetting his matching set of his and hers Audi A1's for him and the wife to trundle around in locally.
I think he was originally horrified when he first found out I was a bit of a tree-hugger, but he reckons he's got his name down for a Tesla Roadster when they eventually get made.0 -

You could possibly pick up a bog standard 4 door for less than 10k but it would bore the pants of you and your '3 pot' would still be quicker.
I wouldn't trust any Mexico for example, that sells for less than £35k.
There is a company that imports 2 door MK1 and 2 shells from China. It'll cost you £5k.
The same company 'straightens' the same shells out - they'll cost you £20k.

I looked at a pristine E30 BMW, 325i. Really gorgeous car. Metallic grey, 2 door. If only I had the room. I reckon classic cars are going to be available for a song after this C19 pandemic.
