How do I delete a discussion?

I was editing a discussion the other day but when I posted it the whole thing disappeared. I therefore started a new discussion on the same topic. Again when I tried to edit it the thing disappeared so I started a new one. Today the two old discussions have reappeared and I now look like a complete idiot because I have three virtually identical discussions and cannot figure out how to delete them.

    I think if you edit too soon after posting, the software suspects you are a Bot so the posts are sent to Admin for approval.

    Either 2 different Admin approved, which is strange because I thought the place was being run on a shoestring of one part time Admin or the same person approved two identical posts (and is a numpty).
