If you're not working too hard the Honeywell turbo is good.
Don't bother with a floor fan as they just blow air everywhere apart from on you

I'm currently using a Cleva vacmaster airmover as it's basically a wahoo headwind..I also have a Honeywell for lower effort days.

I’ve only got the Honeywell, it’s ok, I think I’d like another one though. Plus one of the big ones drummers use on stage, but I’ve bankrupted myself buying a smart turbo so I’ve bought some sweatbands instead 😂

Another vote for the Honeywell Turbo Fan although you will probably need 2.

Wahoo Headwind is very good as well but very expensive.

Headwind looks good but I can’t find it in stock anywhere 😕

One vote against the honeywell fan here. Bought one last year after rave reviews on here but not impressed. It's ok but the cheapo fan from i have aldi churns out far more of a breeze.

The very best is the wahoo headwind but finding one at the moment is hard. Plus it's stupidly expensive.

The Honeywell looks good as it’s quiet - but t I’d prefer one with a remote?

Good point. Hadn't considered panic buying of those.

Best option would be a Wifi plug you can control with your phone. Wouldn't solve being able to switch up & down settings as a Headwind would but you could at least switch it on & off.

If you're anything like me, you'll need the honeywell on 3 all the time

The Honeywell (I agree with redvision) does not cut it for me, I have one, but it's a substitute should my gf be using one of the other fans - having said that, it would pass muster as a face fan.

If you want a remote fan, your choices are extrememely limited - believe me, i did a LOT of research into it.
I have a pedestal fan with a remote which is useful, but doesn't have the oomph of the floor fan.
There is a perfect 'Sealey' floor fan, with 3 speeds, and a remote to switch on / off, and choose your speed, but irritagly it is not for sale in the UK, only the US, and when i contacted them they did not recommend running one through a converter - plus import duty\risk of damage make it north of £100 delivered.
I did say if they could make one for the European market there would be a large number of people who would buy one.

This is the one I use for the main movement of air combined with a remote switch - has 3 speed settings, and worth every penny - when I bought mine it was circa £45.

However, this alternative is cheaper, and also gets good reviews:

  • Another vote (for) the Honeywell fan. Sure, there are more powerful fans out there but it's compact, quiet and powerful enough for me. Decent price too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honeywell-HT900E1-HT900E-Turbo-Fan/dp/B001VEJFT6

In winter, just running the Honeywell HT900E is enough for me usually. However, having begun to use the turbo again this past week when it's been warm to scorchio, running the "donkies old" stand fan as well as the Honeywell has been a must.

They did the job though, finally stopped the COVID-19 FTP rot I've had since late March.

I use 2 Honeywells in conjunction with one of those box fans... Mine looks like the bottom one of your images, but possibly not as big. The Honeywells weren't that expensive so I just got 2 when they were on offer at the start of lockdown.

    Just bought one of these:
    https://www.screwfix.com/p/hf-45b-18-industrial-floor-fan-220-240v/754hy
Delivered yesterday, used tonight. Without wanting to make anyone feel ill, I'm a sweater with any exercise, always have been. I've used a 16" pedestal fan pointed straight at me, and a regularly used towel, until now. Had this set to 2 out of 3, didn't notice I'd left my towel on the bench until I was warming down... so a plus vote from me! Price is fine , too ;)

I had a large floor fan and I found it worse than the Honeywell.
Because the blades are so big you get a pulsing effect and the stream of air is far too large to do any decent cooling.
The Honeywell is great for lower efforts (zone 2 rides etc) but not great for high intensity work.

I've been through several fan setups (one Honeywell, two Honeywells, two Honeywells and a pedestal fan, two Honeywells and a floor fan) and none have done the job. Especially when it starts to get warmer outside.

    I bought this

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PKR381W/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_ylSVEb16CAGR5

Pretty happy, it's got me through pretty bad zwift sessions even at this time of year in garage. 2 wind modes, one creates a nice breeze like feel, 3 power settings, and the swivel is also good. I wanted a smart fan because wen I go out in winter I'm freezing for 15 mins, could be 30 mins before I'd need it. So I control with my phone via an app, alexa also works with it but only to turn on off. I'm a serious sweater, my last workout was 61mins with average hr of 162, I'm 38 so I'm not taking it easy.

Friend recommended the vacmaster, I was going to try it with a smart plug but my wife got me the smart fan above. V happy, I have it propted up back depends on your height, set up etc. I suppose its not cheap either.

I've read this thread with interest as I've decided that I need a fan.
Said fan needs to be compact (stored for use in living room) and powerful.
I gather I'd need a lot of Honeywells so they are out.
    So, Cleva or Sealey?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I use the Cleva vacmaster now.
It's superb, quiet and rediculously powerful
