Lockdown PTP - Digital Suisse - 22-26 April

So if you've been missing playing PTP we have a five day digital Tour of Switzerland to look forward to starting tomorrow.

This won't count towards the official PTP, but towards a Lockdown PTP and I'll include any other races that do the same (sorry I missed Flanders).

Basic principle and scoring remains the same. Pick a stage winner each day. Picks in by 4pm UK time each day.

I don't think there is a GC as it appears that each participating team can enter 3 riders each day, but they don't have to be the same riders. The startlist will be posted before each race apparently.

More details at the Digital Suisse website and also on Velon

The Stages:
The Digital Swiss 5: stages
date route km type el. gain winner leader
1 wo 22-4 Moudon – Leukerbad 26.6 mountain 1,192
2 th 23-4 Frauenfeld – Frauenfeld 46,0 flat 150
3 fr 24-4 Fiesch – Nufenen Pass 33.1 mountain 1,512
4 sa 25-4 Oberlangewegg – Langnau 36.8 hills 444
5 su 26-4 Blenio – Disentis 36.0 mountain 950

A stellar list of participants includes Nibali, Yates, Bardet, Roglic, Alaphilippe... a guidance startlist here

Have fun!

Looks like it's being shown by the BBC on the BBC Sport website and i-player.

Someone needs to tell Rohan Dennis to try and make a race of it. Maybe go for a drive mid stage or something.

Watched a bit of it... The graphics look kinda weird with the real videos with novelty avatars superimposed.

Couldn't be bothered with the PTP, since it's not featured on any betting websites and the team lineup seems a bit random it seemed like too much effort to actually try and figure out who even to pick.

Apparently unibet were taking bets, saw a few won on Dennis at 5/1...

That's no points for either of us today... Looks like Roglic had issues and didn't finish while Jungels was well down.

Great to see Nico Roche, Zakarin and Warbasse rounding out the podium on a mountain stage... in their dreams, virtually!

Didn’t realise that Velon “owns 11 World Tour Teams”, according to the Digital Swiss Tony website... maybe that’s some of famous Swiss humour.

Pierre Latour was DQ'd for 'Calibration Doping' - (my term) - he'd just set up his kit wrong. He was winning by over a kilometre at the time.

Didn't watch most of them as I've been cleaning and painting decking but it was something different to focus on.

    Cheers

There's a whole load of Zwift racing happening in the Tour for All this week with pros. I haven't bothered looking at the start list but there seems to be good representation from WT teams, Bahrain-McLaren, CCC, EF, FDJ, Israel, Mitchelton-Scott plus Alpecin-Fenix, Cofidis, Rally UHC, and some others. Lots of womens teams too.

Could do a PTP but starts in 10 mins...

Streaming free on Eurosport or the GCN app if you're bored.

I'm assuming Dowsett might have a live stream going as well, he has been doing a lot of Zwift racing recently and steaming on Youtube.

Vos won the Stage 1 women's race. Looked pretty competitive, a group got away, had about a minute, then they were all looking at each other and got caught in the last 3-4k.

They've worked on the presentation a bit, it's much clearer what gaps there are etc.. Apart from the powerups and being able to watch the w/kg figures in realtime it wasn't really much different to a real race.
