Mitt gloves

Its time to ditch my old Gore fingerless gloves as the gel padding is past its best, so i looking for a new pair what would you guys recommend, budget around £35

    FDX are good. Lots of gel and reasonably priced.

    I would recommend something minimalist - ideally unpadded - I got a pair of rapha ones but castelli do them and no doubt others.. I realise that's not for everyone but I actually would ride mittless but for the thought of losing skin in a crash. I find less is more in terms of comfort.

    I'd agree with this, at least give unpadded gloves a try if you haven't before. I spent years and probably hundreds of pounds trying to find gloves with the right padding to be comfortable, until I tried some unpadded ones, and now I won't wear anything with padding.

    Fingerless gloves for cycling are called ‘cycling mitts’ or just mitts for short

    I used to use the leather palmed and string backed variety but they increasing difficult to find nowadays so I just use cheap FDJ padded mitts off eBay. The thing to get right is the fit, they need to be ‘snug’ but not tight. Don't throw your old pair away until you’re sure about the replacements, there a good reference point.

    I won’t ride without mitts/gloves since spending an afternoon picking the gravel out of my palms when I was a teenager

    I bought some castelli padded mitts last year, pretty good, but I got some Hirzl unpadded for this year and they are brilliant! Highly recommended

    Rather get on with the Giro mitts, stumbled on them last year and now have 3 pairs.

    Found Altura mitts somewhat underwhelming.
    An old Assos pair I have refuse to die, and are butchered on the turbo circa 3 times a week for the last 3.5-4 years.
