Today will be hard work as the family are all on holiday and I’m not. This may impact my exercise plans later too

Lovely day again, if a little chilly and it was frosty until 5am ish.

Dunno what today entails. Currently negotiating what beach to walk on as tide is out at 10.31. This will shift daily schooling which will shift pedal time which will reduce Porker fettling time.

WFH continues which generally means not doing much work as there isn't much to do right now.

I still find the concept of walking away from my laptop difficult. I feel like I'm skiving... even if most the time I spend on it catching up on the Big CV thread on here.

Morning, it is cold, went for a short walk this morning lungs were highly unwilling participants in this event.
Set myself a little task of oiling an then waxing a mini draw unit. its nothing fancy just being away from my home desk for a week I've realised it needs sorting out an this is on my victim list, plus it comes under the doctors recommended taking it easy category

Shameless stolen from some ebay photo, expect mines not got white paint on it and has more dust.
Three coats of Boiled linseed over a couple of days followed by a double coat of Briwax dark oak rubbed down between an after with 0000 wire wool.
Did my woodwork bench which has a ply top an it really looks good.

Took Mum home today. Two days of relentless background humming, off-key singing of random tunes with lyrics that don't go with the original melody, and hearing-aid fails requiring not so much actual "conversation" as shouting was enough...

Lovely sunny afternoon too. Managed a snooze in the sun in blissful silence.

Waiting on bike frame to arrive in the post, but very slow and expensive service these days.

Back for a bit. Work went hectic as we try and resolve all the exams and degrees etc.

Not in the mood for work today, nor the chill temps.

Onwards and upwards my friends. And no this isn't a porn reference

Almost glad to be back working today :o

Did everything that was on my Easter list but then remembered this morning that The Panzer needs a wash so will have to do that next weekend.

I find taking the indirect route to the supermarket is quite handy to keep the battery juiced up. I guess yours went dead while you were in hospital?

Appears so, I slapped a charger on it an suspiciously the stereo fired up without the key in the ignition so I unplugged that. I'll leave it to charge overnight then see what happens in the morning. Have a feeling the stereo has a bad earth so its drawing when it shouldn't.

    WFH.
Run in some stupidly short new shorts which won't be worn again even if they are good at enforcing social distancing.
Retrieved credit cards from the Indian takeaway which soneone dropped in reception when they went in to pay.
Re-washed the performance 1.3 Cdti banger which got cleaned on Sunday but looked like it had been shat on by an ostrich last night. Started fine after sitting for 3 weeks (fine = with the usual cough and cloud of blue smoke)
New chainset was dispatched today so hopefully something to do this weekend.

    Tldr: same as usual

Meh. Work from home was interspersed with a bit of work from work which was followed by more work from home. Went for a walk with female offspring this evening which was nice.
Tomorrow will probably be vaguely similar. Still got loads to do and I'm trying to pace things right so I don't run out before lockdown is finished, reckon another 6 weeks of this at least.
Glad you're doing ok Step. a friend has recently got out of hospital having had it. Not at all pleasant from what he says.
Can imagine it's rather hectic Flan, the lad reckons they will just be given a pass for the year. He's only 2nd year so no great shakes for him. Most of his mates are 3rd year so rather more concerned if they were on a 3 year course.

We're still stupidly busy, although senior management seem to be under the impression we have nothing to do.
I think I prefer it that way though - it distracts from what is going on and if we start running out if work I think it would be a lot more stressful and worrying.

I paid £1.08 a litre today! That's pre-industrialisation prices that be.Typical that the roads are empty and you're limited to how much you can abu..., err, use them.
Wasn't your battery flattening previously Step?

I might head down the petrol station this weekend and get my fix of cheap super. Via the indirect route of course....

Don't know, I've not been near a petrol station for weeks, which feel really weird. The interweb says the local Tesco is selling 95 RON for 106.9 so guess the Super is around 111?

Most farmers were concerned about losing the red disesel benefit in the last budget, so filled all of his tanks up, in hindsight.......

Let's hope the price stays low when I get the chance to put my foot down a bit...
