If you have Netflix there is a season with the above title starting on Friday (tomorrow)

I think it’s subtitled but looks very interesting

I binged watched this today. The 6 episodes aren't long - less than 30 minutes each.

Now I've seen most of the behind the scenes documentaries - Overcoming, Chasing Legends, Clean Spirit, Backstage Pass etc. But this is the best of them, It doesn't gloss over their problems, they're the general theme of the show. The last three episodes are basically a comedy.

    ***Light spoilers***

Everything you imagined about Movistar and more.

Valverde: Diplomatic and enjoying himself. I enjoyed him saying he didn't like the dope testers turning up at 6.30 as he'd got up at 4 and 6 for a pee. I related to that middle age issue.
Landa: Clearly not a leader, and while loyal not a man to drop back to help
Quintana: Seems to exist in a Quintana bubble with Colombian adoration
    DSs: General earache and ineffectiveness
    Carapaz: Quietly ruthless
Amador: General air of 'why am I with these idiots'. Future DS
Soler: A lot of ego there
Unzue: A nice man. Too nice maybe

Plus 1 on the binge watch, tonight. Interesting to see. Have come away with impression of highly paid individual bikers and amateur management. Need a Ferguson type or dare I say Brailsford type in there and get it sorted.

I'm saving this, keeping it as something to look forward to!

Watched the short 2 part quickstep documentary on YouTube, from the tour of Columbia. Part 1 is better than part 2 but both worth a watch (they are only about 10mins each)

If you want something new to watch, the Flanders Classics channel on YouTube, as well showing full recent De Rondes almost in full, have also put together some behind the scenes films of recent Rondes (80 minute films). 2016 and 2018 are available now, 2017 is posted tomorrow. It looks like it was originally for Belgian TV but it's been adapted for an international audience so English subtitles & Rob Hatch commentary.

If it was true to the 2019 Movistar team ethos, part one would be on Netflix, part two on Amazon Prime and part three on Hulu.

and all at the same time

Mind you. Pablo Lastras make him look like a children’s entertainer. He is HARD.

Unzue and the rest of them seem to love balls - they don't stop going on about balls.

Why is the whole program in Spanish...except the Eurosport intros to each stage, which are with Brian Smith??

A Spanish TV program about a Spanish team being in Spanish. Shocker.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Spanish speaking people is a big market for Netflix. There's quite a bit of Spanish content (The Platform and Money Heist have been crossover hits for them)

OK. The same reason there are subtitles. To make it more accessible for an English audience. Overdubbing commentary is pretty easy.

Are you saying if I put Spanish subtitles off it would be Laura Mesegeur?

No, but if you watch the program via Spanish Netflix it will most likely have a different commentary. Putting on a new commentary makes more sense than subtitling a commentary

Quite enjoying this but I'm struggling to see what Unzue adds to the team.

I enjoyed it so much I am recreating it by getting my partner to shout "You have the balls!" at me while I'm on the turbo.
