I wish the climate would hurry up and change

All this wind and rain is doing my head in. Wonder what we would need to do so that the climate changed in a way that makes it warmer and sunnier, but not in a way we would get more extreme weather such as storms and droughts. This is something that needs to be worked out BEFORE any attempt is made to terraform Mars.

The climate has changed. Stormier winters. Hotter summers.
But just think how fit we will be come the summer !

On the odd occasion you can actually go out doors to ride.

  • Quite agree. I have a design for a bank of ginormous fans strung along the West coast of Britain to blow those cursed Atlantic storms away before they dump a years worth of rain on us in 24hrs. My winter bike is begging for it's annual holiday.....

I actually had a clear window today. Fitted the rear wheel for the first time since January 4th. Pumped the tyre up to pressure and the rim split. It had obviously been corroding from the inside for that whole time.*
Back on the turbo till the replacement wheel arrives, and the foreseeable future. 😢

*Edit - Glad it happened indoors before I headed out. 😱
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Not seen any snow this winter. First time ever.

However unlikely to be any hosepipe bans this year.

It'll be the "wrong type of rain".

Doesn't bother me, I'm allowed to use the hose to keep the fish pond topped up even if there is a ban. Problem is, I'm awfully clumsy and it just sprays everywhere :*
