Rear mech.

Hi. I have an almost new rear Ultegra mech that I’ve just had replaced by a long caged one.
I’m wondering if the one removed is a short or medium cage.
The distance between the jockey wheels is 6mm. Any help appreciated.

    That distance is C to C.

    Ultegra is only available in short (SS) and medium (GS) - so if the old one is shorter than the long one, then it's a SS.

    The letters RR 6800 are marked on it?

    I think RR just means 'rear'. As I said, just compare the two.

    Sorry, I meant 6cm obviously! So does that make it a short cage?
    The new one, long cage is 9cm.

    Read what Imposter has told you. There is no such thing as a long cage 6800 rear mech.There is a short cage and a GS i.e. medium cage.
