Sogginess has already hit Shropshire :( gives me an opportunity to test my new rain jacket I suppose

Later is meant to be a walk to a different pub, I suspect sogginess may impact that

Sogginess has appeared here about 4 hours earlier than forecast last night.

Was planning a big ride this morning before it arrived but I think I'll give that a miss as I'm suffering from eating too much Christmas dinner yesterday.

I think we might loiter around at the start of the boxing day time trial and if there's a break in the weather go for it, otherwise watch/take photos.

drizzle turned to full-on rain, at least tyres seemed to have survived without serious cuts

really need to arrange more hols, somewhere hot, dry and sunny

    +1
Thought I was being cunning going out for a quick spin while it was just a bit damp but the heavens opened almost as soon as I left home.

Did some laps up and down the road and decided no more when the standing water on the way out of the roundabout was up to the centre line and I couldn't feel my fingers/toes any more.

As usual, it's just been a bit of light drizzle since getting back.

Police turned up part way through to set up a random post Christmas drink/drug drive checkpoint.
I didn't get stopped - I guess they thought if someone can ride a bike at that speed in that much water with a cross wind he's not drunk just insane.

  • Perfect summer day, long lunch at friend's place just up the road. Walk on empty beach in late afternoon sunshine.

All somewhat spoilt by a Really Bad Neck Day. :/

Woke up at 10am :) Spent a fair bit of time waiting for a gap in the rain to take the hounds out, which we've just done. Only a short walk though, as juniors stitches are still healing.

The last 2 months must have set some sort record for the amount of bloody rain though?

May laze and watch the box now.

Don’t think so, nowhere near enough anyway. Next couple days will be awful I think. Even here it’s forecast to be 38C on Monday.
