    Bloody trains are up the spout due to a signalling problem but managed to get on one which starts from my station so have a seat and now warming up. Onwards to coffee and delegation.

    Trains are a mess but got a seat due to living thousands of miles from London. Those who live closer couldn't even get on, never mind get a seat. Tonight should be joyful.
    You can fool some of the people all of the time. Concentrate on those people.

    I see SW Trains staff are striking for a whole month. No noticeable shift of punters onto bicycles. I expect they all just go and stand on the platform and moan about it being so crowded.
    A bit parky this morning mind you at -2 degrees Wahoo. Deployed the full winter gubbins except buff, which is for when it's even colder, as all it does is get on my nerves (I hate stuff over my face).
    At work on my birthday, which sucks, though I just had a mince pie.

    Ditto on the Porage l\d. \it's the stuff that keeps you warmest for longer. Though I cooked mine in 50/50 milk - water. I'm not purporting to the Calvinistic Presbyterian style, you can stuff that. It's like Oatcakes.

    That lovely sunny, crisp weather has been replaced with dull and drizzly.
    And there was me hoping to exhibit Porker#2 all gleaming after I sealed it and waxed it to within an inch of it' life yesterday.

    Morning
    Picked a good day to get back on the bike, cold, damp and slippery sums it up.
    Having not really ridden since summer, all the warm winter kit is still packed away in a box and my overshoes have gone AWOL.
    Everything in the office seems to have self destructed over the weekend - both coffee machines, the new sink tap, the heating. Even the computers seem to be on strike today.

    Stepdaughters birthday part on Saturday so naturally everyone ended up back at HD Towers. Still tired now!

    Cold today, been out to look at a small but complicated job, took one measurement and put my hands back in my pockets as it was that cold in the building.

    Brrr, mince pie based insulating layer needed. Back to work today, weird as my main work ended last night which was handy so just recalling people and kit now an prepping for next season. May do some bits with the FE lot if I can be bothered.

    Weird though, Frost Saturday, none yesterday, frost today, water fowl appear somewhat annoyed as the lakes started to freeze.

    MRI scans today of neck and brain. Results later, but they did let me leave without an escort so must've been ok-ish.

    Glad I don't live SW of London. Seems to be some argument about union staff having to operate the train doors as otherwise it's totally unsafe. Not sure how the tube, the DLR or the trains I usually take manage to work without killing dozens of passengers?

    It's the ones on the platforms from Wimbledon to Vauxhall to whom I refer. I forget that SWT go a lot further than London suburbs.

    According to my family, somewhere between 44 and 56. Wife thought 44, daughter plumped for 48, and the boy reckoned 56.

    I am none of those ages by the way, though if you split the difference between the wife and the daughter you will be on the money. The boy got a clip round the ear.
