    Trust me I have been trying desperately to find a drop of Irish blood so I can get a passport and I have none but Fields of Athenry over The Haka was rather stirring.

    Trouble is whenever teams or fans try and disrupt The Haka it just gives the All Blacks even more reason to win. It NEVER works. Just stand there quietly it's better for you.

    Wales went through a phase of doing it and got d1cked on every time. Unless your Tonga and you're gonna get screwed anyway*...

    *...and thats literally cos of that one YouTube clip where they start during the haka...

    All Blacks giving a masterclass in simple basic rugby. Nothing flashy but just doing the basics right. Ireland look clueless summed up by Sexton's performance. The only positive for Ireland / negative for NZ is the scrum, something for England to target.

    Nice to see the All Blacks all wearing black boots as well, no fancy Dan fluorescent for them.

    Blatant shirt pull on Barratt to stop him making a tackle on the initial break in the build up to that try. Not sure how that got missed.

    Well.

    Eng excellent win although score flattered a bit to be honest.

    NZ - awesome, just awesome although Ire awful. Be a tough game for Eng next week for sure, NZ firm favourites.

    Pressure all on Wales now.

    Fair play to France, absolutely put everything into that second half, should have won fairly comfortably if not for that red card, moments madness and all that.

    France played way better rugby, red card made difference and totally deserved. What on earth was he thinking?

    Still, SA or Japan will not fear Wales on that performance!

    Unfortunately, barring couple reds I see NZ winning RWC yet again.

    I don't get how a player gets so far in the game but is still capable of doing something so stupid. If done in anger maybe but it looked fairly calm and calculated.

    And that's the sort of lucky performance teams often get along the way in winning big sports tournaments (not that I can see past the All Blacks).

    He's very good but we do have sufficient back row cover. It's our centres that are all &&&&&& up.

    So expect to see a centre get called up.

    The Welsh go on about how important AWJ is to the team, and they are correct about this, but JD2 is far far more important to the whole team plan working.

    What impressed me about the red card incident was Wainwright's reaction. After his head stopped shaking like in a cartoon, there was no thought of retaliation, just carried on trying to get the referee's attention. Under total control.

    With the line ups for the semi finals announced, and without wanting to get too ahead of myself , but I can’t help thinking that New Zealand have blinked first here. By bringing in Scott Barrett ( a second row rather than a recognised blind side) into the back row to counteract the perceived English strength in the pack and dropping their only recognised open side to the bench whilst England will be playing with two out and out number 7’s (Underhill and Curry) could give England a distinct advantage at the breakdown

    Don’t get me wrong , I still think New Zealand are favourites but in this selection they are being reactive rather than proactive
