Afternoon all.
Can anyone on here advise if Campagnolo Potenza HO groupset is generally compatible with traditional rim brake framesets ?
I'm sure I read somewhere that the shifters and mechs are "optimised" for disc brake setup and wondered if it can be transferred to a rim set up (the obvious issue with changing brakes aside)

Thanks in advance

  • I'm pretty sure it's fine...IIRC it's to do with disc brakes meaning slightly wider rear hub spacing and therefore the chainrings are set a tiny bit further out from the BB to compensate (better chainline)...something like that. But not enough to cause an issue with a regular frame.

  • Campag cable pull for brakes works with campag brakes and some other. Shimano brakes use longer cable pull.
