Hi.
Want to get a set of wheels from here https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/ ... -wheelsets

Now, the wheels I’m replacing are these https://www.alpkit.com/products/love-mu ... escription

When selecting the hubs, wanting a direct replacement, do I want 15 100mm front and 12 142mm rear, as you look at choice here https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/ ... e-hubs.htm ?

Also what’s the difference between the Element and Isotope wheels. They are same price...

Thank you so much.

Element and Isotope rims appear to be different widths, 23mm vs 29mm.

Can't help with the rest, I'm a simple roadie...
  • According to the link that you posted, the wheels that you have are indeed 100x15 and 142x12.

They do have adaptors and can be run in QR but you'd notice that if that was the case on your current bike.

As keef66 (the simple roadie) pointed out, the rim widths are differrent on the Superstar rims.

Your current rims appear to be 45mm?! What tyres are you running on those? 23 and 29mm rims are way narrower and may not suit your current tyres.

  • Yes, I know, I will go down to 2.3 to 2.5 tyres. The current ones are 2.8 and overkill for me. Also, very draggy.
No, I don’t have QR on my bike.
    Thank you so much.
