  • Make it easy for us, add some links that look at the bikes you are interested in.
  • And tell us what sort of riding you plan to do now and would like to do in the future.
    "Ride, crash, replace"
  • Trek:

    Cube:

Where I live there are only xc trails.
So i believe I will have to stick to XC at least for now.

    Thanks for the replies!
  • I don’t know to much about mountain bikes but I was close to buying the trek recently it looks really nice, but then I’ve done a bit of research and the Boardman MHT 8.8 for the same price has got a lot better spec. If you’re UK based then the next model up MHT 8.9 is even better the bike gets great reviews it’s £1000 in Halfords but if you trade in an old bike up to 14th of Oct, you will get 20% off! I’m holding out for the 2020 model that comes out anytime -

It’s looks a great bike just not sure how the Sram components compare to the Shimano on the 2019 bike.

    Update#

I bought the boardman 8.9 and it’s a fantastic bike, coming from a road bike I’m surprised at how fast it is, just looking forward to getting some long off road distances in now to see how it really handles, my wife has bought the women’s specific 8.8 and she’s really happy with it, the only con I could mention is the handle bars why so wide? I understand that’s how modern bikes are these days, but considering you’re taking it through forestry with narrow paths it’s surprising why they would make them this wide, it was was like riding a bus when I first rode it but just starting to get used to it now.
  • Dinnae want to add to any confusion, but, Calibre will sell you a superb very capable full suss for under your budget.

    Juast saying likes :)

If you prefer hardtail I will say that the Trek is lovely
