Happy with my 1x11 nx drivetrain, but need to change to a 30t chainring.

Is the x sync 2 (eagle) better than x sync 1 for 11 speed?

Is cold forged durable enough compared to the steel I have now?

Pros/cons
Thanks

  • X sync 2/Eagle is for 12 speed. It’s no better, just for a different system.

I’ve never had an issue with durability from any of SRAMs rings from cheap to expensive, so pick the one that suits your budget.

  • I've run plenty of other branded chainrings with a 1x11 GX set-up.

Not sure what your BCD is but mine was 104.

I've also used Uberbike, Superstar and Snail - all have worked perfectly well.

  • As Tom Howard said, the Eagle ring is for 12-speed chains. The tooth form is different. It will work on an 11-speed chain, but you won't get the same benefit and it won't be worth the extra money.
