  • Morning. Lovely here but calm before the storm tomorrow. Ride this afternoon with mate assuming leg OK, at least I'll have a ready made excuse for being dropped...

Same here. Not sure why sleep was so bad but maybe something to do with being out riding until 9 pm. Unfortunately I have to go to a meeting with some half-humans.

Dull day, the last glass of red wasn't such a good idea.

Maybe a ride later, if I do probably the last before going to Italy.

I spent year in Italy for work, the pizza around Naples were small squares cut from a large block. Nice but different.

There used to be a pizzeria called Taverna Messicana (It's not a Mexican restaurant) in Como, not for from our house and the pizzas were the best around. 24" long stretched out over a wooden board and as thin as you could get.

It closed down a few years ago but we have found another place that uses the same method, I just wish it was closer.

Busy morning after 2 days out doing house clearing and sorting stuff etc. Off out for an all afternoon meeting with our advisors in a bit and they're buying a round or two afterwards which we'll probably need. Not a bad way to finish Thursday I suppose.

Finished DIY project in shed, only minor injuries incurred. Used up a pile of otherwise scrap timber to do it, bonus.

Still a load of things on The List however.

Whisky by the fire this evening, dog snoring at feet. Lovely.

Obviously it’s the one near the pub :)
  • Just back from a nice but rather eventful ride. Mate had a puncture in his brand new tubeless tyre, sidewall rip as well. Later we both nearly got squashed by a dickhead in a tractor.

Other than that a fun ride. And my leg was fine.

Didn't see you there. Maybe because you left at a decent time and on a decent bike.

    It's those bloody Bilstein's innit?

Me wrestling with seized bolts me. SS exhaust system with ordinary steel bolts!

I'm an inch away from replacing all the bolts plus re-tapping some broken one's. Drilled and tapped 1 of 3. Need to find some M10 sleeve for M8 bolts. An inch is a long way on a seized bolt.

    Laters.

    Pesky suspension!

Who put normal steel bolts in? Sounds like a lot of hassle, but needs doing.

Finished! @ 7pm this evening. What a marathon. Now if I need to take the exhaust off, it will be procedural and if I need to get something that requires exhaust removal by the Porker people, they won't charge me the x hours to remove it or recommend replacing it entirely.
