Hi, had a blow out on my rear tyre the other night thanks to the rubbish washed on to roads after heavy rain. The front tyre is fine so just need one new tyre. What i am wondering is, does it make a difference to which wheel should have the newer tyre, front or back. Should i swap out the front tyre and put the newer one on that or just stick it on rear and keep the older tyre on front?

Best tyre on the front, that’s where you need the control.

Depends how 'old' the existing front is - if the tyres were relatively new, then just refit a new rear. But as a rule, best tyre on the front as weboo says...
