    TBF apparently the UAE staff forgot to buy the team any food for one of the transfers and had to stop at a motorway services to buy the riders some pre-packed sandwiches...

    Team doesn't sound like a happy place despite their Colnagos...

    It is odd that he knows the problem but can’t say what it was just yet and his form was good. Weird that he would communicate this too. Like some have said, not a happy place .

    When you think about the crap Sky/Ineos get about budgets, marginal gains, etc, they very rarely get anything wrong in the Tour. That's why they win it. Other teams seem to struggle with the basics.
    It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

    Apparently the ASA made them stop claiming it reduces hair loss because they couldn't come up with any convincing evidence to that effect. So they now make do with meaningless boll0cks about German engineering and fighting for your hair, and hope that claiming it's selling fast in Germany will make us all buy it because we've all got German cars and washing machines.

    Some teams just don't get it right whatever 'it' is. Ben King left Sky went to Bahrain(?) and went back to Ineos. DQS seem to have it right for their style of riders similarly M-Scott. Martin has had some major wins but just seems to lack something to tip him over into the winning section. But then Gilbert didn't perform at BMC

    Is Dan Martin really a GC guy? I know he's finished top 10 a few times but has anyone ever really thought he had a chance of threatening yellow at all? I think he might be better off realigning his expectations and looking to win more classics, which he clearly has a nose for

    If that is true it's shocking. Diet is a top top top top priority.

    Maybe hunting the mountains jersey would suit him, most better climbers than him will be riding GC or be super domestiques and he has the kick to take the points over most others that can climb with him. That and hilly classics, maybe ride for stages at grand tours - it's a niche I know but one that might suit him for 2-3 years he should have left at the top.
