Anyone know why Quickstep are wearing the ANGi pods on the back of their helmets?

I’m sure it’s just a marketing gimmic, but bloomin’ thing annoys me on the back of my retention device- so much so, I’m looking to remove it…

    I saw that last night, the bright red one?

    I'd suggest advertising* as it's a completely pointless item to have whilst racing a fully televised event.

    I remember seeing something from Specialized on this. IIRC they said it was being used by some pro teams to help improve the devices accuracy.

    I guess if they're after some real time crash impact data, it's not a bad testing bed...
