I accept these photos aren’t very good – taken on the hop the other night so I thought I would share. I’ll take some better ones maybe this weekend.

This is my Donhou DSS4. The DSS4 is from the Signature Steel range, typically in four sizes with prescribed tube lengths and TIG welded.

Mine’s a little different – based around the 56cm and following a bike fit at Bespoke, we went for a slightly taller headtube. The frame is also fillet brazed rather than TIG welded. I specced a pump peg so will buy a Silca frame pump.

Paint design is my own, right down to the last detail. It’s expertly applied by Cole Coatings.

Tubing: Columbus HSS
Fork: Columbus Futura RD
Groupset: DA7900
Wheels: Vision T42 (very happy with these, bought in a bit of a rush one Saturday afternoon)
Tyres: Continental GP4000SII
Finishing kit: Pro, 3T and Starley
Bar tape: Fizik
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Superflow
Pedals: Look Keo 2 Max
Bottle cages: Bontrager

Lovely looking bike - congratulations! I have the same wheels on my Genesis Volare, but shod with Vittoria Corsa tyres, and I have been very happy with them too. Enjoy!

Tom does a good job. He built my custom steel bike 5 years ago - best bike I’ve ever ridden, would go back to him in a shot if I ever had another one built.

Today has very much the groundhog feel, so I thought I'd share a photo of my DSS4 in Germany, with its hand-built touring wheels.

This photo was taken on the Drei Keiserberge route, a steady 60km taking in three volcanic hills to the east of Stuttgart. Hohenstaufen (684m), Rechberg (707m) and Stuifen (757m).

You can see Hohenstaufen on the left and Rechberg on the right - the photo is taken halfway up Stuifen.
