Shimano 105 fd 5800 front derailleur sizes

So the hex screw holding the cable on the front derailleur has sheared off, leaving a piece in. So needing a new derailleur but I see when ordering one it come in a couple of sizes 34.9mm & 28. 6 / 31.8mm. What does this relate to and how to know which to order

Your seat tube diameter for band on derailleurs. Do you need band on or braze on? If braze on, you're looking at the wrong derailleurs.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -
It's braze on, seen one on ebay £130
