  • Rain, wind, work. Other than that a splendid day. Oh and a smoke alarm or maybe it was the CO2 monitor went off spuriously at 0100 this morning. Nice.

Morning, debating a canoe to work, so much rain overnight. Still raining now which is lovely.

Work, map bombing routes to various Disney resorts for SG, choice of payload I'm going fuel air bomb so a C130 an the crew can push it out the back.

Meant to be doing hill reps with the local cubbies tonight so no doubt it will be me on my tod. May just Stoke up the wood burner an have a quiet one instead.

    Morning

Trying to book a trip abroad with our new company system. It telling me the only way is a £700 trip with 1 stopover even though I can do it by Easyjet for £150. £700 doesn't include any baggage, bubbly or lounge.

No riding today due to the weather. I'm surprised the club TT hasn't been cancelled yet, usually all it takes is for someone to spot a cloud int he sky and claim it looked at them in a funny way.

    Morning folks,
Relatively dry ride in this morning, no water falling from the sky but lots of it loitering in big puddles on the ground. Traffic was much easier than last night, I'm currently laughing at all the drivers in the office that were laughing at me as I left last night. Took me 20 minutes to get home, took some of them hours.
Had to go to the old dears and go looking for various bits of paper to support the tax return we've had to do for the old man. Couldn't find it but I did find his O level certificates.
Have a good day one and all.

Dryish. Cutting a dash in my new Prendas vintage Italian jersey and matching socks. Remembered to gt85 the sh!t out of my chain, wipe it down and re-lube, so wasn't accompanied by the squeaking that normally follows a deluge.

Cold and blustery here, should have put a coat on but as it's the North I didn't bother.

Gym after work followed by some fish and greens.

    Windy?

Me pedalled me. Wind was brutal. Hills were steeper than normal - i'm sure there's been some tectonic plate movement. I'm fat I think.
Bloody hungry now, must go eat.

Anyone ever had an experience of an Planet X Exocet 3 TT bike with normal drop bars? I have like that sitting in my garden now and it looks flippin' fabulous - no idea what the handling would like though...

    .

Aye, you did. I could probably have bought the large instead of the XL, but the jerseys seem to be good quality, and different to all the castelli/rapha/flappy cotton tshirts out there.

Try it, may need a longer stem to get round the TT position unless you got a size too big. Was that the one they did in a rather nice olive drab with angry plane decals on it?

this one is stealth black but have looked at the P/X geo and although its a L its a 55cm, so tiny.

but abso-bloody-lootely gorgeous with drop bars.

agree re the stem as well.

was thinking it may make a really fast holiday home bike but its tiny tiny tiny

Global wetting more like. The heavens opened when I was half way home on the bike despite last nights forecast saying there would be no rain today. Maybe Michael Fish has rejoined the Beeb?

In other news, Stressbag and Stropteen have decided they want another dog and are off to see one this weekend. Glad I bought an estate...

Yup. I got the photo working then realised that it had stuff in it that it shouldn't really be on a public photo so deleted it.

    New photo to follow.

Has to be a cool dog to go in ze Panzer wagon - if its a chihuahua or similar there may be an issue....
