Yeah pretty damp here today as forecast.
Forecast can't decide what time it's going to stop, if it dries up this afternoon might go and do a quick TT.
Back and knees are killing me though so not too worried about not going.

Love family hotel rooms, everyone is still asleep and I’m bored

Pig based breakfast soon and then off to the low expectation prisoner tour

Later is off to another hotel in Ludlow for more ale
  • So, sun is out and it's dry (unlike yesterdays monsoon). However, it's windy as. So could be a very messy surf or a brutal headwind ride. Or bin until tomorrow but nah, gotta do something today.

You should've nipped out for a sneaky early morning run.
I've never done the tour, but never watched the tv show so don't think I'm missing much. It's a nice place to look around, probably better when it's not pissing down with rain but hopefully it will keep most of the tourists away.

Cracking winter day. Spent a few hours on chainsaw duty collecting more firewood, otherwise a snooze in a deck chair in the sun topping up the tan was about as taxing as it got.

  • Surfing won out, ultra messy but fun in the sun. As it happens the Fishguard Triathlon was on today hence the masses of cyclists ploughing into the wind on way to beach. Glad I made decision to ride tomorrow.

    Evening lycra lovers,

Plenty done today including time for coffee and bacon, bit of a drive, spot of exercise and even a few jobs. Now vot rhe wine chilling in the fridge and deciding what sort of take away we fancy.

Yes, but have you got a VW Camper van, preferably a splitty, Bay will do?
If Yes to the above, how many Bikini clad surfer girls can you get in it?
If No, well, you'll just have to supply pics of norks, preferably your sisters.

  • As it happens got both, splitty and a bay window VW. Well the wife has, she hires them out so I use my car for surf trips.

Wossat? That I was driving? Or that gays have bbq's? Even the Portuguese ones. All the Portuguese family were over. They're not all gay, just him, who is the partner of one of Mrs H3's oldest friends. They brought some home-cured ham (amazing), sweet onions from their garden, which were macerated in red wine and went beautifully with the ham, also a case of vinho verde. I had a single glass. Everyone else got stuck in. Gits. Mrs H3 made a baked cheesecake, which went down very well.

We don't call them EPOs for nothing.

I had fun driving today but there was no moaning about that as I didn't take her along for the ride :)

Was being good and spending time with the family - should have gone for a run!

Tour was meant to be good but we only did the start and then took the kids swimming
