Cheap rear disc wheel for indoor trainging

Hi all,
I am considering buying a new rear disc wheel just for indoor training. I am currently using my only wheel set (Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon Disc) and a tyre specifically designed to be used on smart trainers. As a result, I need to substitute the tyre every time I want to go for a ride outdoor and this is quite annoying. Now that the warm(er) season has started, this translates in 4 changes a week: typically indoor on work days and outdoor on weekends. A complete wheel change would make things much easier.
Any suggestion on a cheap (max £200) wheel that I can buy to be used on my smart trainer only?
Another question that might sounds stupid: do I actually need to mount the disc on the new wheel despite being useless on the trainer. Would omitting it create unbalances and/or reduce the structural strength of the wheel?

Hi,
It should be absolutely fine to run without the disc rotor. If you have a hydraulic brakes you'll want to insert a spacer between the pads to prevent the pistons moving inwards if you accidentally pull the level. You need the right one for your calliper, but as an example:

You haven't said what axel standard you require, so I'm not sure if this wheel will work, but you can definitely get individual wheels for <£200.

Remember you'll have to budget for a cassette too, and you might need to adjust the rear derailleur a click or two if you want the indexing spot on, as it's unlikely two different hubs will put the cassette in exactly the same place. Having said that, when I wheel swap I'm too lazy to bother and I can accept slightly sub-optimal indexing on the turbo.0 -

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I will have a look and decide on a rear wheel from your suggested websites/suppliers. The Mavic from Decathlon seems a good deal.
The thru axle dimension is 12 x 142 mm. For the rear disc brake I still have the spacer provided with the bike.

does it have to be a new wheel? just go on the classifieds or ebay and buy the cheapest thing you can find. or down the tip. doesn't even have to be that in true tbh.....
