I have that n+1 itch that just has to be scratched and luckily, have a decent budget to work with ( and a warning to make it count as it'll be a while before I can buy again)
Currently riding a 2013 Wilier Cento 1SR running Ultegra and Cosmic sls wheels.
I'm looking for either
A/ a bike that will have similar geometry but feel faster/lighter/better all round (tough one as its a fantastic race bike)
Or
B/ Maybe slightly more relaxed geometry but still feels fast and handles well.
It's got to have decent wheels and Ultegra as an absolute minimum
Things that interest me at the moment are either of Wiliers 2 newer models, the Cento 10 air/Pro or the Cento 10 NDR. Air/Pro fit the bill for the first criteria, NDR fits for the second.
Also like the look of the Ridley Noah fast. Open to suggestions and buying frame and bits separately if the right bargain could be got.

Depends what you're looking to do with it.

I've just spent on the one bike to do it all, Mason Bokeh. Ultegra, Ali frame, Hunt wheels £3k
Could 'upgrade" the wheels, or have Di2.

They also offer steel or Ti frame but I think the Ti is about £6k.

Buy a Factor O2 frame and decant your group and wheels.

Is a factor frame really any better than what I have?

What do I want to do with it? Well if I buy option A (faster stiffer etc.) then new bike becomes my race/ fast club spin bike and I stick 28s and raise the stem a little bit on my current one so that becomes my long day in the mountains bike.
If I buy option B then I'm buying something with an eye on long days in the mountains.

Factor O2 is an outstanding frame.
I’ve a Noah Fast, few years old now, not ridden a more recent one but I’d be buying the Factor if I was buying now.

5K could get you lots... personally I’d get a TCR advanced SL 1 with Ultegra DI2 (£5K) or TCR Advanced pro 0 with Dura Ace if i decided to go mechanical and wanted over 1k of pocket change for extra bits...

As above - something with DA mechanical for 5k. Far better option.

Call me a snob, or worse, but going from a Wilier to a Giant would probably see me break out in hives. I don't care if they're made in the same Taiwanese factory. Giant just doesn't do it for me

 Fair enough! There are plenty of great bikes out there for 5K, Canyon has great value for money for example

You can get a Colnago C64 frameset for £3,750 at Merlin.

DA Mechanical groupset is £1,050, Ultegra mechanical is £500 or Di2 is £1,100

Leaves at least £200 for bars stem seatpost saddle (Deda zero 100 should suffice)

    Use your existing wheels.

    You're welcome.

Why would you want to put Ultegra on a C64?

D/A. or Record on something that sweet.

Because it functions the same and I just put option out there if the OP was strict about his £5k budget.
