Giant Anthem 3 Vs Marin B17 1

Anyone with experience with either of these 2 bikes? Will be used for xc/trail riding. Really like the look of the Giant, any major disadvantage to the 10 speed Vs the 11 speed?

I'm just getting back into MTB after a long break...I still have my 20 year old Marin Rift Zone so looking to upgrade! So moving from 3x 9 to 1x 10 or 11....will it be a big difference on climbs?

    I'd get the Anthem.
    My wife has an Anthem and my son used to have one. They are cracking bikes. The 2018 model is even better with 130mm forks and 110mm rear suspension.

    If you can stretch your budget a bit the 2018 Anthem 2 is a really good buy, although only S, M and XL in stock. Better forks, brakes and drive chain and is 11-speed.

    Thanks for the responses...I'm pushing my budget already :-P

    I did look at the Anthem 2...I considered a second hand 2017 but it's only 120mm up front, so planning to upgrade a few things over time to give me the newer bike!
