    Morning
Looking nice here too, downside means everyone will be on their way over here.
Early morning skinsuit party shortly, then nothing else planned. May go up a mountain and lie in the sun somewhere.

    Ciao

Glorious here - just waiting for coffee to bubble then going to sit on the swinging chair for a bit with the divine TDV.

Then not a lot planned really. May replace chain that broke on the cx bike.

Traditional slow start on a Friday is delightful, the female child* has just joined us and is discussing plans for the weekend. Thankfully not too much planned. The male one is at his girlfriend’s now she is back, won’t see much of him now. Out for dinner at some friends up the road tonight, should be fun.

WFH because I take my bank holidays as extra holiday days and everyone else is off. Just off out for some 'lunch break' hill reps in the sun...

    Gorgeous wevver innit?

Me sorting spetic tank overflow occlusion + pipe work and general trench filling me.
It's a stinking job but somebody's got to do it. I have coined it 'Operation Redcar'.

Dropped Mrs P and toots off for forest walk et un peitite picnic.

I am currently calculating how many biscuits I can dunk before the dunk levels drop to the point where I can no longer dunk.

    Laters.

Anyone know of an app or website that will merge a gpx track and hr/speed/cadence data?
Forgot to turn my GPS on, and if it's not on Strava it didn't happen...

Your septic tank smells of fish?

Decent lie in and a few jobs done on the supplies and car cleaning and maintenance front. Have put off getting The Panzer washed till next week though, as there a good place in Redcar that will do it for half the price of down here. Currently enjoying a bit of peace while the female half of the household is out and El Doggo slumbers on the floor.

It's too hot for this beard I've been growing since August. It's also too hot for F-labradors. Desperately considering borrowing my neighbours digger and building myself a swimming pool

Pity his other half hadn't also said it was too hot for her.

sweet - thank you. looks well pukka..

is that just a couple of mm below the top of the stem? what bung is that? the S3 has an alloy shim inside the fork so doesn't need a bung, but if it allows me to do what you've done there is no harm.....

It is a couple of mm lower than the edge of the stem basically to allow the stem cap to sit flush the bung on that one is an own brand wiggle one, though the deda one is the same idea.
You can run a bung no problem if its shimmed I do on the other I was refettling earlier which appears to have accidentally become slammed like this...

this sounds perfect - many thanks. will have a close look tomorrow.

its going to be the bung that takes up the preload isn't it? cap does, essentially nothing? yah?

Its a bit of both, bung needs to be in enough so you can pre load the cap to take the slack out of the stem/stem tube/headset stack.

What I usually do is tighten the top cap to preload, then do the stem to steerer an then loosen an re tension the stem cap not as tight as before. Thats never given me any problem as the stem which is a wider clamp is dealing with the force.

    Cheery bugger Isn't he.

Currently sat in my garden iPad, fire pit, snoring dog and a nice JW Black, did not expect this in the middle of April, not complaining though!
