105 compatability

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me if the new Shimano RD R7000 rear mech will function ok with a set of 5800 11 speed shifters?

    It's supposed to, I have a GS 7000 mech to fit on my Cube, which has 5800 group.

    Yes. Shimano publish compatibility charts on their website.

    Page 15 should have what you want. All Shimmano mechanical 11 speed levers and derailleurs are interchangeable.

    I've not tried the exact combo you've mentioned, but I have used 105 5800 levers with R8000 derailleurs and they work absolutely fine.
