    Uneventful day planned so something is bound to kick off somewhere. Off on a road trip after work and still need to pack, including a bike.

    Off to the gym to work on physio dictated shoulder strengthening exercises. Chiropractor session tomorrow, will be interesting if she finds improvement, meaning the pain will have been worth it.

    Early walk to start the day. Dog was a little grumpy at being dragged out of bed before 8am for it. :roll:

    Work meh, and very little else. Wired up spare hi fi in living room. It sounds horrid. Not sure I cba to sort the issues, may just box it up again.

    Afternoon folks,
    Thursday morning hangover not too bad today thankfully. Another busy day trying to buy stuff but getting bogged down fixing screw ups. Managed to wobble in this morning and it was neither too cold nor too windy, that was a welcome change. The left hand shifter seems to have taken a knock and was a fair bit lower than the right. Noticed it as soon as I opened the garage and it made the ride rather uncomfortable. Considering the bike has been in the garage since Tuesday night and nobody else has been in there it must have taken a knock on Tuesday. So how come I didn't notice it when riding home on Tuesday? Bar tape very shabby, need to give the bike a lot of tlc.

    Trying to buy something that our new partners lost out on twice in the last few years, been told not to waste time on it but I've found a glaring hole in their modelling so f*ck them. We/I'll make a tidy 2% fee on it so their loss...

    Looking forward to the weekend, new bike day on Saturday!

    Spoke with the medics and while nothing is imminent enough to warrant me dropping everything and going up today, things are still not looking rosy. They're trying to get her to drink fluids and I'm going to drive North straight from work tomorrow evening once the traffic clears. Gives me a bit more time to sort some sh1t out.

    Other than that, busy day on the corporate hamster wheel.

    Medium = what trunk girth, height? Debris chipped on site or taken away, as opposed to being set on fire etc etc?

    Cherry trees are not all that big 'n' tough.

    bizarrely, this is actually the plan but i offered a friend some cash to chop it down so want to pay him something decent. was thinking 75 to 100.

    chop down, chop up, stick in his van, deliver to my pad, set fire to, lob into next door's garden.

    Leaving aside the various #s, if is a pal doing you a favour, that size of tree is a piece of proverbial to drop, most time will be taken up in the clearing up, yeah £100 cash in pocket sounds ok. Would cost a wodge more to get a proper arborist in to do it, as is a small job but have to factor in travel times, opportunity costs and suchlike. Oh and cherry wood is quite nice for burning, after a while.

    chainsaw we get from work so no costs there. was also going to chuck in a slab of beer and a bottle of JD for his hassle. i'll supply tourniquets and dressings.
