Riding from Burghfield near Reading

I'm spending a weekend sailing on Burghfield and am free to ride on the Friday afternoon if I take my bike.
I've never been there so have no idea what the roads are like but was just wondered if there is an enjoyable 30 mile route around that area.

    I used to know the area pretty well - I don't have any specific routes (someone else will), but heading south towards Burghfield Common, Mortimer/West End, Silchester and the area around Bramley, Little London, Stratfield Saye and Beech Hill is pretty good riding terrain. Just avoid the A4 and A33...
