    AG2R v Sunweb

Have any of Sunweb's winners raced yet this year?

By my reckoning, the team has so far only raced the Aussie WT races and Provence, last week.
Not one of their Algarve team for tomorrow, has raced a day in 2019.
Ironically, things could have been so different in this competition.
Max Walscheid was second on stage 1 of Down Under. Since then, nada, not even a podium.

My Jumbo keep Sunweb off the top spot in one of the many deserted sandy races going on at the moment...

Jumbo beats Sunweb again in UAE. Dumoulin looked crushed.

If I was Sunweb I don't think I would be looking to sack their manager just yet...its not as though they are that far adrift. This is a very narrow kpi.

Maybe it's AG2R that need a change of manager. Lavenu has been running that team since before Arsene Wenger joined Arsenal. Since the World Tour started as the ProTour in 2005, they have won two races (excluding stages) - '07 Dauphine and '14 Paris-Nice

At least they can claim to have their palmarès as part of their official team name.

So Sunweb retain their title - their third 'victory' in four years. Very much like their sponsors, they're don't really operate until May,

    Past winners:
    2019 Sunweb
    2018 Sunweb
    2017 Astana
    2016 Giant
    2015 LottoNL Jumbo
    2014 Astana
    2013 Euskaltel

Seems quite early in the season for everyone to have got a win though?

Teams still searching for a WT win are: Dimension Data, Bahrain, Katusha, Groupama-FdJ, AG2R

I'm not sure where to put this, so I'll stick it here as it's fairly big WT news.

    First this:

    https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/late ... our-412586

Which cyclingnews now claim to have a scoop on.

    http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/exclusi ... -20-teams/

It seems the automatic wild card for GT for the top 2 ranked Pro-conti teams have to be scrapped and the likelihood of more rubbish French teams at the other two GTs.
