Spec remains as it was delivered - full 2008 Shimano Deore XT group set and brakes, Fox Float RP2 rear shock, Recon Race RL100 forks, WTB SpeedDisc wheel set, Easton EA50 seat post, stem and bars.

Original Bike Radar review HERE!

It's definitely more of an XC racer than an all mountain ride but it more than suits my needs as a roadie who likes to get a bit dirty now and again! Let's see if I can get a few miles put on it over 2019 - it's far too much fun riding it to leave in the garage whilst my road bikes get all the attention.

How long does it take you to clean around the shock?

    Sorry, dumb question.

When you have been off road, how long does it take you to clean around the shock?
  • Not as long as you'd think actually as the down tube takes the brunt of the mess. This was taken during a NYD ride - thought I'd take advantage of the sunshine!

You just need a long bristled brush to get into the nooks and crannies. Having stripped too many free hubs I now avoid aggressive cleaning products/degreasers and rely on hot water, a little car shampoo and elbow grease! Also a big fan of baby wipes and just getting in there with your hands/fingers.
