  • I like the way Boarman adds a yellow flash on his bikes to signify his Stage win at the TDF
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Three stage wins if you please...
  • I didn't realize that was the reason for the yellow, but I do know one thing, this frame won't be winning anymore...

Looks a very good spec and set up with the G3 wheels also, is the frame not what you were expecting?

  • Bar tape is poorly wrapped, rear brake cable outer too long ant the caliper.
Otherwise looks acceptable (tape and seat colour, and photographing in the granny-ring de-merits).

The frame set is exactly what I was expecting, I'm well pleased with it.

It's my first attempt at internal cables, I can easily re-wrap the bars and I quite like the white seat/bar combo!!

It's an easy cut for the rear brake.
I'm surprised the caliper actually closes though as it is.

Thanks for the advice, I'll get the cable sorted and the bars re-wrapped, cheers guys.
  • Personally don’t think the white saddle and bar tape accentuate the superb looking frame. They look like you rustled around your spare parts bin and used what you had (which you may have done).

I’d say swap them out for black items to make that frame pop.

If you look at Boardman bikes with black frames there are lots out there with White bar/seat combos.
And you are right, it's built on a very tight budget, built with what I have..
  • That looks better.

can you tidy up the cabling? looks a bit of a mess.

cables should run underneath the bars.

remove tape, trim down cables, run cables underneath bars, re-wrap.

The cables always run better if you go with front brake on the left.

not arguing with at all, just their placement under the tape and the bundle of excess outer bunched up out front.

trim down the masses of cable coming out of the caliper clamp as well. far too much there and not needed at all.

All these issues will be remedied over the Christmas break except for the seat and bar tape, that's staying!
    Merry Christmas.

top stuff! its looking cool by the way and Boardmans rock: in fact I have started building one up this morning (mint condition Boardman Pro - the ali/carbon one that came with full dura ace, full carbon fork and full Ritchey WCS for about £900 a few years ago).

lovely to ride, looks lovely with the different shaped tubing.

well look forward to seeing yours finished.

    have a brilliant Christmas.

That's the ticket, more to the point, do you feel happier now it's right? Just need to level the saddle.
