Specialised Crux E5 - steel fork
I'd like to replace my carbon fork with a set of steel fork. My bike is a Specialized Crux E5:

FORK Specialized FACT carbon, disc-specific, quick-release
FRAME Specialized E5 Premium Aluminum, fully manipulated tubing, semi-compact race design, shaped top tube, 1-3/8" lower bearing, internal cable routing, integrated headset, OSBB, post mount disc, 135mm rear spacing
Can any one advise me on a tapered steel fork that will fit, or what to look for when trying to determine a compatible part?
Thanks,
rotoq

Leaving aside the question of "why?" - I think you will struggle to find one off the shelf. A custom builder could probably make one, but don't be surprised if it adds another 500-700g to the weight of the bike.
The other option would be a non-tapered fork with a headset reducer.
Go on then, I'll ask. Why do you want to do this?0 -
I want to add a front hub motor to the bike for my 16 mile commute (each way).
It's starting to look like a steel forked used 29er will have to be the basis for the new commuter.0 -
Why don't you just use a rear hub motor? Or buy an actual purpose-built e-bike?0
