Hi - 4 of us are visiting Alcudia for a 5 day cycling trip and wondered if any of you can recommend some bike hire company's offering 105 spec and above road bikes. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

Bruce at Procyclehire has always sorted us out. He's at Porta Pollenca.

Loads of places to choose from. Pollensa Cycling centre have always been good for me. Based in Porto Pollensa, unsurprisingly, but they deliver to your hotel. Really nice bikes, Kuota mainly, various spec levels available.

Another vote for Pollensa Cycling here. Good value, good bikes, friendly service
  • I used... http://bikecamp-mallorca.com/our-bikes/ in June this year. Good if you want to test ride some Cervelos.

  • I've used Wheelsport in Alcudia before and had no issues with them. Think I had some kind of Merckx branded bike with Ultegra.

We used a couple of places in Pollenca also. Bike Experience and 2Go.

Giant TCRs from Bike Experience and Willier GTs from 2Go. The Williers were nice; my TCR rode like a piece of wood.

Both sets of bikes were well maintained and came with tube, levers and mini frame pump.

I'll deal with the chew of taking my own, next time. You can't beat your own bike.

  • I have always had great service from Bikehead down in Palma. They deliver to most places and have a specific pick up/drop off arrangement with one of the Pollenca hotels. Great fleet of bikes:

Ive used Mallorca Cycle Hire and ProCycle Hire, I would recommend ProCycle Hireif you do rent from Pollenca as the more user friendly experience, since Mallorca Cycle Hire was taken over a few years back by a father and son team, service was iffy at best, the bikes we hired and paid for turned out to be a different make and he was pushing very heavily a 10 Euro insurance in case we 'scratched' the paintwork, my whole health insurance/air ambulance cover etc was the same price. Pro Cycles were much more relaxed about its all and their beers a lot better value than other 'more talked about' cycle stops in Pollenca 'cough tolos, gone downhill since Tolo sold out! IMHO.
All lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....
  • Thanks again everyone. Bikes booked and looking forward to our March break.
