Di2 backward compatibility
Getting some bits together for a new disc build, was planning on running Ultegra Di2 so was wondering if R8070 hydraulic shifters will work with say a 6870 or 6800 rear/front mech? was hoping to get some bits off fleabay to keep the cost down a bit.

I believe you can mix and match anything apart from 10speed and 11speed derallieurs after a FW upgrade a couple of years ago. The FW defined is stored in the battery.Tri Coaching
