BR-RS785 caliper

Hi
I've brought a used 2017 Ribble Endurance and the levers just say Shimano and the calipers RS785. Everything else is Ultegra.
What group are they or hydraulics not done like that?

    None series calipers and these are essentially xt calipers for road STI.

    Why is that disappointing. You don't expect a cheap Ribble to be specced with a complete series matching groupset do you. Also R8000 disc groupset was possibly not available when this bike was sold. The rs685 shifters and rs785 calipers was top of the line until the new ultegra and Dura ace came out.

    Also there is nothing wrong xt kit. It works very well.

    Disappointing it doesn't all match for extra kurb appeal ;)
    Guess "cheap" is all relative, but thanks for the specs and model numbers.

    I would not be worrying about kerb appeal of ultegra, it like the ford focus, nothing wrong with it but it no ford Sierra cosworth.

    RS785 callipers are post mount. As far as I’m aware the new Ultegra/ Dura Ace callipers only come in flat mount which has become the road bike standard calliper. Therefore, your frame (if it is post mount) can’t accept flat mount callipers. If the RS785 is fitted with an adapter to your flat mount frame then obviously you could fit flat mount callipers. It would seem unlikely to me that your frame is flat mount as if it were they would probably have just fitted an RS805 caliper...

    I’ve got RS785 calipers with the non-groupset STR785 di2 shifters. They work fantastically. I’ve also got DA 9170 hydraulic disc di2 on another bike. Also fantastic. If anything though I find the slighter larger STR785 levers slightly more comfortable in the hand.

    I have the RS85 shifters paired with the RS785 callipers and they're excellent. The shifters only move two gears with a big sweep but they're carbon bladed so they do have some kerb appeal ;-)
