Wahoo & Garmin Compatibility

Wonder if anyone can shine a light on a slight issue I am having.
Good bike has a Wahoo cadence sensor sending to a Garmin 520. Readings vary to say the least.
Bad weather bike has a Garmin GSC10 sending to the same 520. Readings seem much more consistent.

Conclusions.
The Wahoo is rubbish and should be binned.
Or it is good but they do not have great compatibility with Garmin so maybe I should get a Wahoo head unit next time.
Thoughts?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

hmmm very frustrating. My answer was to buy a stages power meter hey presto cadence and power and no more cadence sensors and magnets

Personal choice, but I am not interested in power meters. Or power output at all for that matter.
I ride on feel but tend to grind out too big a gear at low cadence and my leg muscles give in after @ 50 miles.
Lower gears at a higher cadence and I comfortably do 100+ mile routes. Hence the cadence meter.

I have Garmin Cadence sensors on both bikes(new type) paired with a Wahoo Bolt and it works fine.

Sounds like a Wahoo head unit next time round, maybe.
Still doesn't confirm if the Wahoo cadence sensor is any good though...

Wahoo do a utility app that checks the function of wireless sensors - tried that?
Cube Reaction GTC Pro 29 for the lumpy stuff
Cannondale Synapse alloy with 'guards for the winter roads
Fuji Altamira 2.7 for the summer roads
Trek 830 Mountain Track frame turned into a gravel bike - for anywhere & everywhere

Want to swap it for a Garmin Cadence sensor?I'll even throw in the unused speed sensor.

Went from version V2 to V4 so quite possibly..... Thanks.
Will have to wait and see before considering any swaps. Cheers!

I use a Wahoo cadence sensor on the turbo bike instead of the inbuilt one on the turbo and works perfectly with ANT+ or BTE. Garmin one was a bit hit and miss with ANT+. P2M on the main bike has inbuilt ANT+ cadence and that never loses a beat either. My head unit is a Wahoo Elemnt.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
