Trench foot Sunday

Turns out running for over ten hours with wet feet means you end up with knackered feet :shock:

Today is a chilled start watching the gp, then get out of the house to a beach. Then a decent drive home and the local

    Morning All, just getting family up and ready to meet rest of family for Charity walk in wood of Alzheimer's. First time in a long time all the families been in one place. Weather looking cold outside at the minute. Officially joined the old sods brigade and ordered a carradice bag for the winter / touring bike. TLW that's a bloody good achievement, call it 2 marathons back to back. Well done, hope the feet recover quickly. Bike ride later if time.

    It was frosty hete this morning oxoman, first one of the autumn.

    Been out for a quick ride already this morning in my thermals to check nothing fell off the bike. The wheel that a built yesterday still seems round so that's a bonus.

    Just waiting for the washing to finish, then up up up!

    Fair play, that's one mile less than my longest bike ride :lol: Luckily my back won't allow me to consider something as unhinged as that.

    An average Sunday beckons, at least it's sunny out there.

    MTB race last night (12hr), it was cold minus 1 at it coldest in Thetford forest. No trench foot though it was done dry once the race started.

    Wedding anniversary today, so off for lunch somewhere nice with Mrs H3 in just a bit. Then go and collect mini from the m-i-l.

    Lovely day for a walk with the dog, at least until she went up to the shoulder in black stinking mud.

    ride sunny but nippy, just had a reviving cioccolata calda and a croissant for dunking
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

    Evening folks,
    Any doubt about the foolishness of TLW is now long gone. I won’t congratulate the idiot as it will only encourage further stupidity. Hopefully the trench foot has now been pickled from the inside.
    Just got back from visiting the bro in law in Gloucester, that was hard. All a bit too familiar so soon after the old man. He was doing ok considering, but I don’t know how long he’s got. I’d be amazed if he sees Christmas. Drive back was a bit painful as usual on a Sunday evening.
    Now to do the bins and then time for some scoff.

    had a bit of community service stuff today so it was nice to be around smiley people.

    roast dinner scoffed, wine quaffed, pernod pastised, rock n roll. now eating carrots and having a nice evening with tdv before we go our separate ways - again .....

    I bought a stifficat too, and I'm a consultant. I say stick a funnel up your @rse, do a handstand, and have people just pour it in, while you drink it through a straw at the more usual end. Bon courage mon ami.

    Just returned from the public house up the road having been taken out for a beer or two by eldest son after doing memory walk. Memory walk in aid of Alzheimer's was great, some of my walking company was not. Mrs,s is racked off I'm beyond that boys going with the flow but rest of family apart from youngest grandson can do one. Work tomorrow.
