Has anyone tried these out? https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Slime-Pre-Fill ... AQAvD_BwE#

I cycle on some roads where I'm prone to a puncture - are these worth the investment?

    Waste of time.

The fact is, punctures happen very occasionally and sometimes it doesn't matter what preventative measures you have taken. The best thing you can do is carry a spare tube and the tools you need to change a tube.

I assume you're British, we all ride on the same roads and manage without gimmicks like slime filled tubes.
  • Yes, British - thanks for the reply. I'll give them a miss then.
  • I had one fitted to my bike when I bought it second-hand. The slime did stop a puncture when a large thorn penetrated my tyre. However I continued to use the tube after repairing it with a patch but eventually the valve got gunked up with the slime and I had to chuck it out anyway.
  • I think they work more for lower mtb pressures but for high pressure road tyres.. they do nothing except add weight and spray crap everywhere when they puncture
  • Tubeless tyre thread>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
