My front derailleur will not stay in the top chainring when I shift. It will go in the top chainring and then immediately fall back into the lower chainring. Please help. Thanks.

Could be above or H screw.
Work through this? https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-he ... adjustment
The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.

After a lot of thought I've come to the same conclusion, your front derailleur needs adjusting.

Cable tension, H limit screw, cable fraying inside the shifter, broken shifter.

If it used to work and you haven't adjusted the limit screws then cable tension is the most likely culprit.

Does the shifter click when you shift up to the big ring?
