Charity ride

So I organised an 11V11 charity match which took place last weekend for MIND the mental health and anxiety charity. And looking at doing a road ride (trading my MTB in for a road bike never ridden road before officially) and was wondering if there was any good routes from Birmingham. Wouldn’t mind doing around 50 Miles to take place in Feb/March. Any ideas would be great

    Weather in February and March isn't great. You'll get a better take up later in the year.

    You could take a look at UK Cycling Events calendar for area, season and distance. Let them do the event organisation, you focus on your fund raising. Carry an entry fee of course.

    contact a local club and see if they can suggest any routes.

    ckubs srd well friendly and always ready to help.

    perhaps some the club membrrs would even volunteer to marshal to help you out?

    This shop http://www.dynamicrides.co.uk/ used to put events on (they might still) so maybe ask them, based not far from Solihull which isn't too far from Brum.

    They might be able to help with promotion too.

    Not sure if you are asking about doing a Charity Ride or if you want to arrange one. If you are looking to do one, then the Ride the Reservoir event run by St Mary's Hospice in Birmingham might be right up your street.

    The event is normally held in March but due to snow this year, it was put back to late April.

    really like the look of this. Will also give me a good 6-7 months to train and get used to the bike as well. I was looking at doing it for MIND but I could change charities for this event.
