Brake rotor making noise when dropping bike

Hey, just wondering. Is if normal to hear a clang from your brake rotor everytime you drop your bike? This happens for both front and back.

    And what do you mean by clang,

    how do you know it is coming from the rotor,

    does it happen for both rotors.

    Really need more information.

    Yes, picking up and dropping my bike. Of course if it happens there it will happen on the trail as well.

    I don't see what else would make that sound at the front. It happens on both front and rear.

    It’s resonance, it won’t happen on the trail. Now go ride your bike.

    As above, how do you know it’s from the rotor? Pads moving in the calliper is more likely and perfectly normal.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Post a video of the problem.

    Unless your brakes rotors are loose, it’s resonance, most likely your tyres are over inflated and/or your suspension is set wrong (too firm/over inflated)

    Sorry about the confusion, I thought it would be obvious. I am not throwing my bike on the ground. I am picking up the bike and dropping it on its tires. It is definitely coming from the rotors.

    Rotors are tight. So are calipers. Suspension is set up to correct sag and tires are as low as they can be so that I don't bash my rims.

    It's just resonance as the brake pads move when you drop the bike.
    Ignore it and go and ride.

    Are they one piece or floating rotors?
    If floating it'll be the rotor moving on the carrier.

    ^^^^ good one, formula r1, or was it hope saw, from a few years back would have the rivet loosen so the steel braking surface would move in relation to the alloy carrier.

    They are sram centerlock. I assumed it was resonance. Just wasn't sure if it was supposed to be happening.
