Hi, just fitted a 30t from a bottom sprocket of 28t. Just road tested on the street, and no obvious issues found changing up or down, nor any catching noises.
Anything I should be aware of as Shimano state a max of 28t for the 9000 rear mech, as opposed to a 30t for the latest rear mech. doing a major hilly ride this weekend, and don't my world imploding 45 mls from the car.
Thanks

I ran this setup fine. It depends on the frame. Adjust the B screw and you should be good to go. Just make sure you have enough chain for Big - Big in case you select that combo by accident.

Ran on 9070 with a 52/36 for a while now, no issues. I try to avoid cross chaining big/big though
