Hi there

I have two Trek bikes, Domane ALR 5 disc road bike and FX 3 disc hybrid
I would like to put my road bike wheels onto the hybrid as I’m upgrading my road bike wheels

Road bike has thruaxle both front and back, hybrid has thrus axle at front and qr at back

How can I convert the back to put the existing ta wheel when there is qr at present on hybrid. Many thanks.

Wheel specs for hybrid are:

Front hubFormula alloy, 6-bolt disc, 12 mm thru-axle, 32h
Rear hubFormula DC22 alloy

Wheel specs for road bike are:

Front hubFormula alloy, 6-bolt disc, 12 mm thru-axle, 32h
Rear hubFormula DC22 alloy

You just need a thru axle to QR conversion. There's various types out there of which this is one.

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Thanks for this. It seems a lot of the adapters available in 142 mm size are for indoor trainers. Are these adapters ok for real world outdoors use?

Swapping the wheels just seems like a big headache with the differing standards

Am I better just scrapping this idea and getting some new wheels from Hunt etc that are much easier to use across differing standards compared to stock Bontrager wheels?
