F8 crack

As per title f8 crack on non drive side chainstay,it looks like just the paint but after only half a dozen rides and only 4 months old i would like a replacement.
I have spoken to the shop i bought it from and sent them the pics and they said they will look into it,i persume they need to contact pinarello.

    Yes to them contacting Pinarello

    No to a replacement frame just for a paint crack.

    I'll get my pop corn for this one. MF is busy finding pork scratchings.

    Nowt. It's wear and tear. It happens unfortunately. Paints flexes, it cracks. It's a bicycle that gets used.

    Difficult to tell from the photo.
    Does the warranty cover the paint job? If so you could try and get it repaired claiming on that.

    Tbh though if it turns out it is just a crack in the paint and not the frame, and if the warranty doesn't cover this, I wouldn't be too concerned and would just ignore it.

    White paint does seem more prone to cracking - it's usually thicker than other colours and presumably therefore doesn't flex with the frame.

    The warranty won't unless it's something major like it all falls off.

    That's a crack in the paint - no warranty, no real reason for them to do anything.

    Who said that thing about a little knowledge being dangerous? Fortunately, MF has essentially no knowledge whatsoever, just opinions.

    Cosmetic blemishes visible at purchase are excluded. Repainted products are excluded. "Normal" fatigue excluded.

    From this I would understand that cosmetic blemishes NOT visible/discoverable at time or purchase are covered, as are non-normal fatigue faults.

    You can never know how a manufacturer will try to squirrel out of this sort of thing, but you don't know unless you try. You've done the right thing by going to the bike shop first, because either way it would be worth asking someone who has an actual clue, rather than anyone here. At worst you'll have reassurance that it is not structural.
